BIGSTYLE LODGE
SEWING RETREAT
Are you a sewist who would love some uninterrupted sewing time away from the distractions of everyday life? Then read on to find out about a unique weekend away in beautiful Co. Mayo, overlooking the Wild Atlantic Way.
What’s it All About?
The sewing retreat weekend is at BigStyle Lodge in Killadoon Co. Mayo – a 13 bedroom boutique hotel and spa right on the edge of the Atlantic, with a gorgeous traditional pub on site.
>Whether you are a beginner sewist or an old hand, this is an opportunity to get out of your routine and share time with people who are just as passionate about sewing as you are.
Enjoy hours of uninterrupted sewing time (except for the copious amounts of tea, coffee and snacks 😊) with stunning views, happy chatter, delicious meals, beautiful accommodation, and even a cheeky visit to the spa with the best views in Ireland!
The Plan
We’ll arrive down on Friday afternoon and meet the rest of the group on the trip. You can either get sewing straight away or simply relax, unwind and soak in the atmosphere. Then we’ll serve up dinner, get to know the other sewists and maybe even relax with an after dinner drink.
On Saturday we’ll serve breakfast and then get to it!
We’ll set up our equipment in the large communal area and enjoy a day of uninterrupted sewing, chats and sharing of ideas, only stopping for lunch and snacks.
Before dinner we’ll have full access to the Big Dipper sauna, hot tub and cold plunge and then it’s dinner from the Lodge’s wood fired pizza oven.
Then there’ll be plenty of time for a drink from the pub or just a board game by the fire.
On Sunday there’ll be breakfast and we’ll slowly get ready to head home.
