Nesting in a secret garden, Peponi is a camp and lodge on Tanzania’s serene and untouched coastline. In what is an undiscovered area, Peponi represents a sanctuary of peace as well as a connection to the fascinating area and good-hearted locals.
Located on the road between Tanga and Pangani, Peponi serves as an ideal point from which to explore Tanzania and East Africa. The nearby village Kigombe is the oldest fishing village in Tanzania, offering insight into the history and nature of the area.
COMMUNITY PROJECTS
We believe it’s important for our kitesurfing trips to Tanzania to have a positive impact on the local community. Our aim is to initiate projects that will benefit the local Tanzanians and allow their society to share the opportunities tourism brings.
We’ve already set up two community projects last season – we managed to build a new classroom for the Primary School in Kigombe and we renovated a wing of the medical dispensary in a town called Morongo.
