THE DUN LAOGHAIRE HARBOUR
SUP EXPERIENCE
Overview
This is our most popular Dublin event as it’s accessible to all fitness levels and experience while remaining a great, exhilarating way to explore Dublin’s coastline.
DunLaoghaire harbour is spread over 200 acres of sheltered waterways, rich history and hidden nooks and crannies to explore.
Due to its sheltered nature we can take larger groups of less water-experienced people and give them a safe and exciting SUP trip.
The Details
We meet at the planned time in the location in DunLaoghaire harbour stated lower down the page
We spend half an hour getting on wetsuits, putting our valuables away and doing a brief land based intro to SUP.
Then we get into the harbour where’ll we’ll spend as long as necessary in the very sheltered water of the Coal Harbour – which is the most enclosed section of the whole harbour and therefore the most protected from the elements.
How far we go into the harbour will depend on the group’s ability and the weather on the day but there’s potential to do a circuit of the whole harbour and even go under some of the piers while learning its history.
When we get back to land we’ll have a BBQ ready to go if your group wants to provide some of their own food.
