The Not-Just-Yoga Retreat
with Barefeet Living

A week of healthy living and salt water adventure on the Wild Atlantic coast

Ok. That’s enough of the mince pies, cheese and wine!

This is a new year retreat for anyone who’s seeking a little headspace, fresh air, and inspiration after the madness of the holiday season. Maybe you’re looking t pause and take stock before diving headfirst into 2020, or perhaps you’re in between things and are overdue some time off to dedicate to yourself!

The week will bring together the best of yoga, outdoors adventure and cosy vibes at BigStyle’s beautiful lodge on the Irish Atlantic coast. The yoga classes will be tailored for all levels, from complete beginners to full-scale gurus (so ditch any fear over your inability to swallow your own foot!).

Come and join the BigStyle team and Pete from Barefeet Living to learn a little more about healthy living, mental wellbeing and how to become a real-life yogic badass.

Pete will teach his unique style of yoga, host workshops and chat about good food and (practical!) healthy eating. With the Atlantic Ocean a mere stone’s chuck from the Lodge, we’ll be surfing, kitesurfing, SUPing, hiking and coasteering every day. Throw in movie nights, hot tubs and a daily cocktail hour (not forgetting Bigstyle’s infamous levels of craic) and you have a dreamy mix of downtime and adventure that we’re confident will stick with you longer than a bad haircut.

  • Nutritious breakfast, lunch and dinner (with prep tutorials & recipes to take home!)
  • Accommodation (shared and private rooms with ensuite bathrooms)
  • Daily yoga classes
  • Daily outdoor and watersports activities
  • Afternoon workshops eg: discussion or a bodywork training
  • Evening activities eg: beach walk, movie night, campfire, hot tubs
  • Cocktail hour (even yoga gurus like a G&T)

Optional extras:

  • Holistic or deep tissue massage
  • 1-to-1 yoga workshops
  • Extra watersports and outdoor activities

There is plenty of downtime included in the schedule for those looking to work remotely or just chill out with a book and, of course, all activities are optional. No hidden costs or nasty surprises… guaranteed. We can organise transfers from the airport at a small extra cost, just let us know your travel plans and we’ll hook you up.

So there are two ways of getting down to us.

If you have your own car it’s a straightforward 3.5-4 hour drive from Dublin down the M6. If you’re driving solo or have space in your car we’ll try to find you some other guests to carpool with.
Once we know who’s going we can start putting plans together regarding this.

You can take the train from Dublin to Westport and we can collect you from Westport train station and bring you straight to the lodge.

The transfer from Westport train station to the lodge costs €10 each way

From Dublin the plan would be:
Outgoing: Take the train from Dublin Heuston to Westport on Sunday.

Return: Take the train from Westport to Dublin Heuston on Friday.

The train usually costs €40 return and takes 3.5 hours

You can take the plane to Ireland West Airport Knock, Co. Mayo and we can collect you from airport and bring you straight to the lodge.

There are regular flights to/from the UK, such as London, Bristol, Birmingham etc. More info on flights found here

The transfer from Knock Airport to the lodge costs €15 each way.
