Where We Are
Dun Laoghaire Harbour, just 10km from Dublin city centre, spans 200 acres of historic, sheltered water — making it the perfect place to learn Stand Up Paddle. Protected from most wind directions and offering plenty of space, it’s ideal for beginners. We’re based at the slipway in Coal Harbour, the oldest and most sheltered part of the port, and the perfect spot for your first SUP session.

Getting Here
Self-Drive
Dún Laoghaire is 20–25 minutes from Dublin City centre and we have ample parking directly in front of our centre. Parking is paid by the hour.
Train & Bus
The DART stops at Dún Laoghaire Station, just a 5-minute walk from the water. Multiple Dublin Bus routes serve the town centre with easy access to the harbour.
Groups
Coming as a group or by coach? There’s plenty of parking for coaches right outside our centre.

Frequently asked Questions
Do I need to be super fit?
Not at all. Paddleboarding is low-impact and suitable for most fitness levels. If you’re comfortable standing and moving around, you’ll be absolutely fine.
What should I know before coming?
Arrive 10–15 minutes early so we can get you checked in and fitted with gear.
We’ll give you a full safety briefing and basic instruction before anyone heads out.
What’s included in the price?
Board, paddle, leash, buoyancy aid and wetsuit if needed — everything you need to paddle. Qualified instructors and safety cover are always included.
What should I bring with me? Is there any parking available and does it cost anything?
Bring swimwear, a towel and runners or sandals you don’t mind getting wet.
there is loads of parking available right outside our centre. It costs €2 per hour or €4 for the day
Are there changing facilities on site?
There are changing areas in our centre catering to 6 people at a time.
Many guests arrive ready to go or change using towels/robes for convenience.
Are there toilet facilities on site?
Yes — public toilets are available close to the harbour and our meeting point.
We recommend using them before your session starts.
