SUP Instructors – Based in BigStyle SUP School Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin 

Description

Are you a keen paddleboarder or watersports instructor? Have the Summer off? We are looking to add to our existing team of instructors. We need a number of different full time and part time instructors who will become an integral part of the Big Style Team. We’re looking for someone with great people skills, who is full of enthusiasm and a love for the outdoors. 

Tasks/Responsibilities?

  • Leading groups on guided paddling sessions around the harbour
  • Setup and pack of equipment 
  • Talking with customers about Big Style products
  • Ensuring the highest safety standards are kept 
  • Retail assistant when needed (training will be provided)

Experience

  • ASI SUP Instructor Level 1 (Ideally level 2 as well)
  • Any other watersports qualification we will be interested in seeing
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Ability to work for May, September (Part-time), June, July, August (Full-time)
  • Excellent customer service experience

Duty manager Lodge – Based in BigStyle Atlantic Lodge, Killadoon, Co. Mayo 

Character

We’re looking for a strong character who’ll be the glue to bind the whole lodge crew together. We need great communication and organization skills, leadership qualities, the ability to work in a team, strong interpersonal skills, ability to make decisions, creativity, proactivity and a love for the outdoors and the ocean.     

 

Tasks and responsibilities 

  • Customers point of contact – Dealing with customer queries and issues in person, phone and email in a courteous and professional manner.
  • BigStyle Week & Weekend-End Events – The daily running and organization of the trips from preparing rosters, supporting staff on the ground, check in & out of customers, pre-planning and recording of customer payments, receipts and other admin tasks.
  • Stock management, supplier & kitchen procedures  – The Duty Manager will work closely with the Chef in regard to contacting new suppliers, stock management & bringing kitchen procedures into place and ensuring procedures are maintained and adhered to.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance – Maintaining a good cleaning standard throughout the lodge and also dealing with or following up on maintenance issues which arise.
  • Working Relationships – The Duty Manager and General manager will work very closely on the development of new ways to improve the lodge from trips, to activities and new procedures as it is still in its infancy which leaves lots of room for expansion and new exciting ideas.  The General Manager will support this role in all of the above tasks and together will create a tight knit team, friendly, fun and inviting atmosphere for other staff and customers

Chef/Cook – Based in BigStyle Atlantic Lodge, Killadoon, Co. Mayo 

Character 

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, social and above all creative. We’ll have plenty of space for creativity within the role and we’d love someone to reimagine what the foodie element of the lodge could be.  

Tasks and responsibilities 

  • Kitchen Management – Overseeing the kitchen for all meals in the lodge on both weekend and midweek events with the support of a team.
  • Hygiene & Cleanliness – The chef will work closely with the General Manager & Duty Manager and contribute to making sure the kitchen adheres to HSE & HACCP standards and make sure they are met.
  • Menu’s & Idea’s – Expanding on the existing menu, curating a new menu for the lodge and bring new ideas from breakfast to all meals for our events
  • Stock management, supplier & kitchen procedures  – The chef will work closely with the Duty Manager in regard to contacting new suppliers, stock management & bringing kitchen procedures into place and ensuring procedures are maintained and adhered to.
  • Working Relationships – The chef will be working closely with both the General Manager & Duty Manager and will have the support of both on the above tasks and together they will create a tight knit team and bring the lodge to the next level.
