THE BIGSTYLE LODGE

Welcome to the BigStyle Lodge, our favourite place in the world.

At the heart of the lodge is our stunning 13-bedroom en-suite hotel, offering breathtaking views of one of Ireland’s most spectacular coastlines. But that’s just the beginning. We also feature an in-house surf school, a yoga studio with panoramic views, amazing indoor and outdoor chill-out areas, The Big Dipper (Ireland’s Most Scenic Spa), and a fantastic traditional pub and restaurant – P. Dans. Plus, we’re proud to offer Ireland’s only Surf & Spa package – the perfect way to relax and recharge after a day on the waves.

All of this is set along the Wild Atlantic Way, right next to world-class surf beaches and unparalleled scenery. Keep reading for more details!

LOCATION

The Lodge is located a 25 minute drive south of Westport, just outside the town of Louisburgh.

From our hilltop vantage point we look out over Cross and Carrowniskey surf beaches, the world class flat water kitesurfing spot of Cross Lake and all the way to Croagh Patrick.

All within a few minutes drive.

Getting to the Lodge

Self Drive

It’s just under 4 hours from Dublin and Cork and under 2 hours from Galway, so getting here by self drive is very manageable. There’s plenty of parking and having your own transport does allow for some exploring under your own steam.

Train and Bus

Westport train station is only 35 minutes from the lodge and there’s a great train service to Dublin several times a day, there are also plenty of bus services that run to Westport daily from different parts of the country. Whatever way you get to Westport on arrival we can help arrange a taxi to take you to the lodge.

Train and/or bus for Groups

Some groups organise a bus for their whole group to get to the lodge, either to take them from Westport or their point of origin.

We’re more than happy for this to happen but just one word of warning:

We don’t have the capacity to transport 15+ people to the beach and as we sometimes have to run surf lessons a drive away other transport to the beach may have to be organised at the groups expense.

OUR SPOT

Great waves for learning to surf and perfect for wave kiting too
Around the headland are great sheltered spots for Paddleboarding and Coasteering
If you’ve still got any energy left then a hike up Croagh Patrick will cure that.
The lodge is just a few mins up the road.
